How to Replace Mining Chute Liners During Shutdown

Practical step-by-step guide based on field experience. Send your DWG and we quote within 24 hours.

Overview

This guide covers the practical steps to replace mining chute liners during shutdown. JSLT Mining produces engineering plastic components in UHMWPE, HDPE, PA, POM and PTFE — full-process fabrication from raw sheet to CNC-machined parts.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Pre-stage replacement liners. Pre-drill and label liners by chute zone before shutdown.
  2. LOTO and confined space prep. Lock out conveyor; confined space entry permit required.
  3. Remove worn liners in sequence. Remove top to bottom; inspect chute steel as you go.
  4. Install new liners. Counter-bored bolting; verify alignment between panels.
  5. Restart and ramp up. Run empty for 1 hour; gradually ramp tonnage to nameplate.
