How to Prevent Chute Blockage with UHMWPE Liners

Practical step-by-step guide based on field experience. Send your DWG and we quote within 24 hours.

Overview

This guide covers the practical steps to prevent chute blockage with uhmwpe liners. JSLT Mining produces engineering plastic components in UHMWPE, HDPE, PA, POM and PTFE — full-process fabrication from raw sheet to CNC-machined parts.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Identify blockage cause. Sticky fines, wet material or geometry — investigate before re-lining.
  2. Smooth geometry. Curve transitions; minimum chute angle ≥ 60° for sticky materials.
  3. Use UHMWPE low-friction surface. PE1000 friction coefficient 0.10–0.20 vs steel 0.40+.
  4. Add air cannons if needed. Install air cannons through liner with proper port reinforcement.
  5. Monitor flow. Use flow sensors; liner replacement extends interval.
